It's that time of year when everyone likes to make lots of lists – Best Movies of the Year…Best Books…Best Albums…Best Quotes…Best Gifts…Best Political Candidates…Best Restaurants…Best Pregnant Pop Tarts (an award that goes hands down to the frighteningly fertile Spears sisters).
Entertainment Weekly recently came out with their list of the 50 Smartest People in Hollywood. Topping the intelligence chart was Knocked Up, Superbad writing/directing sensation Judd Apatow, legendary directors Spielberg and Cameron, Endeavor Agency hotshot (and inspiration for Entourage's Ari Gold) Ari Emanuel, and the lovable, big-eared Fresh Prince.
On the other end of the spectrum the Daily News attempted what we imagine was the easier task of compiling the 50 Dumbest People in Hollywood. The top five famous fools included La-Lohan for terrible choices in movies and men, the bootylicious home-video-maker Kim Kardashian, vapid Hills ‘star' Spencer Pratt, Brit's manager Jeff Kwatinetz and the drunken Wallgreens- lovin' Shia LaBeouf. If Washington DC was included, the White House Press Secretary would receive honorable mention for not knowing what the Cuban Missile Crisis was.
Anyway, all this talk about smarts versus stupidity has made us wonder where our pampered pooches would fall on the cerebral scale (Yes, we wondered about ourselves too, but we're already secure in our supreme brainiac stature – is brainiac a word?).
Sure you may think that your spoiled Spot is the smartest pup on the block – but face it - so does every other pet parent. If only there was a way to prove the genuine genius and the bountiful brainpower of your clever canine…
Well, now you can thanks to the brand new Pooch IQ Kit.
The clever kit includes 15 different cool IQ tests that allow pet parents to test the smarts of their Spot. The fun-filled exercises are specifically designed to analyze various aspects of your pup's intelligence. The ingenious kit is based on real scientific principles, but is simple enough for the whole family (including Uncle Sal who thinks Alvin and the Chipmunks is a masterpiece).
The tests are easy to score and the whole thing can be completed in about an hour to ensure immediate gratification and bragging rights on your brainy Bowser.
Unless, of course, you find out that your pup is more of a Jessica than an Einstein…well, at least she's pretty! And maybe your pooch will start dating a really rich football player.
