Meet Your Match
4/23/2008

We know they say opposites attract but we think that if you're looking for a real, lasting relationship you have to find someone that you're compatible with…someone with similar personality traits…someone who shares the same interests…someone who loves Top Chef and hates Hell's Kitchen

Sure, we were totally crushing on our cute neighbor – until we just couldn't bear to hear another word about his strange love of macramé and porcelain unicorns. The hottie who worked at the bank was definitely easy on the eyes but after finding out his favorite actor was Dane Cook, we knew we had to let him go…And just a few months ago we were totally into this guy we met at the Coffee Bean until he mentioned that he didn't get why anyone feels the need to shower every day.

Yes, finding that special someone is never easy…and the same thing happens to be true whether you're looking for someone who walks on two legs or four!

Luckily the folks at DogTime have created a cool new online quiz that can help future pet-parents figure out just what kind of dog is the one.

The quiz includes questions about your own lifestyle and personality as well as what you think you are looking for in a dream dog.  Questions about the type of fur-kid you are seeking include activity level, intelligence and shedding habits.  As far as people go, the quiz focuses on the amount of time you spend at home, how much you exercise, housing limitations, children, allergies, how social you are and what kind of training style you would use.

Although DogTime does not claim that it will find the absolute perfect dog for you, it does suggest what dogs are a good match for you and your lifestyle.  Although it does recommend what breeds suit you most, it also suggests what type of dog would be right – since often the breed is not a complete indicator of a pup's personality.

Check out the quiz and find your doggy match at DogTime.
